The Story Of Brewing

The brewing method was started by Amalie Auguste Melitta Bentz in 1908, who was unsatisfied with the dreadfully bitter taste from her percolator.

Melitta experimented with different ways to brew coffee and one of it was using blotting paper from her son’s school book and a brass pot punctured with a nail. This new pour over brewing technique was then introduced to the public.
